This video shows Clark and Associates patient Derek Jennings testing a new running leg with Clinician Travis Carlson. Derek is a US Army Ranger who was injured while on duty in Afghanistan.
Derick Hurt testing new running legs with former UNI runningback
Derick Hurt is a retired Army Soldier who was injured in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This video shows Derick running for the first time in 10 years. Our clinicians at Clark and Associates got to know Derick at Walter Reid Medical Center during their two years of service at that facility. While Derick lives in Missouri, he makes the 4 hour drive to Waterloo, Iowa for his prosthetic care. For more about Derick's story, refer to the April 2014 edition of our E-Newsletter.

Ossur Microprocessor Knee and Foot
The new Ossur Symbionic Leg (Rheo knee w/ the Proprio Foot combination) John Costello fit on a patient. This prosthesis is the first to incorporate both a microprocessor knee and microprocessor foot. The most impressive part is it allows trans-femoral amputees to descend and ascend inclines smoothly as the Proprio foot adapts to the incline.
